Not the night to be a Packer backer

In a feud that has featured some pulsepounding moments over the years, the Packers and Seahawks will kick off the Week 11 slate in Seattle on Thursday.

The Seahawks (-2¹/2) continue to show a ton of fight and offensive prowess as they once again went toe-to-toe with the explosive Rams offense last week and in the process were able to showcase their very effective run game along with the world-class ability of Russell Wilson.

While Seattle has looked much better than many anticipated, many are still waiting for the Packers to click and get that signature win.

Aaron Rodgers versus Russell Wilson has all the makings to turn this into a track meet. Green Bay has lost six games in a row on the road and in that same span is only 1-5 versus the number. Due to the play of Rodgers and a still-pedestrian defense, the Over for the Packers is 13-5 since the middle of last year, a stretch that easily could continue here at a total of 49¹/2. The Seahawks’ league-leading rushing attack is a huge advantage, as it can burn the clock and keep Rodgers off the field while simultaneously making Wilson more dangerous with the added threat of play action and managing a more balanced offense.

THE PLAY:

Seahawks, -2¹/2. If Seattle is able to sustain drives and keep Rodgers off the field, it should result in a cover and win for the ’Hawks.
