Mcsorley, Penn St. deal Knights 10th straight loss
Trace McSorley threw two touchdown passes to tight end Pat Freiermuth and No. 16 Penn State’s defense set up two touchdowns with turnovers in a 20-7 victory over Rutgers on Saturday in Piscataway, sending the Scarlet Knights to their 10th straight loss.
McSorley’s touchdown passes covered 6 yards in the second quarter and 18 in the fourth as the Nittany Lions (8-3, 5-3 Big Ten, No. 14 CFP) beat Rutgers (1-10, 0-7) for the 12th straight time.
The win was No. 30 for McSorley as a starter, making him the winningest quarterback in school history.
Raheem Blacksheer scored on a 2-yard fourthquarter run for Rutgers to deny Penn State the shutout.
Alabama 50, Citadel 17
In Tuscaloosa, Ala., Tua Tagovailoa passed for 340 yards and three touchdowns, but No. 1 Alabama (11-0) went into halftime in a 10-10 tie and struggled for 30-plus minutes before putting away The Citadel (4-6) with a 27-point third quarter.

In Clemson, S.C., Trevor Lawrence was 21-for-38 for 251 yards and two touchdowns and No. 2 Clemson (11-0, 8-0) overcame a slow start to beat Duke (7-4, 3-4) to finish a perfect Atlantic Coast Conference season.
Michigan 31, Indiana 20
In Ann Arbor, Mich., Karan Higdon ran for a goahead touchdown early in the third quarter, and Jake Moody set a school record with six field goals, helping No. 4 Michigan (10-1, 8-0 Big Ten, No. 4 CFP) beat Indiana (5-6, 2-6).
Okla. St. 45, West Va. 41
In Stillwater, Okla., Taylor Cornelius threw a touchdown pass to Tylan Wallace with 42 seconds remaining to rally Oklahoma State (6-5, 3-5 Big 12) past No. 7 West Virginia (8-2, 6-2, No. 9 CFP). Will Grier led the Mountaineers to the Oklahoma State 14, but couldn’t connect with David Sills V on the final play. The loss all but ended West Virginia’s shot at the playoff.
Harvard 45, Yale 27
In Boston, Tom Stewart threw for 312 yards and three touchdowns before being wheeled off on a stretcher in the fourth quarter, leading Harvard (6-3, 4-3 Ivy League) over Yale (5-5, 3-4) at Fenway Park in the highest-scoring matchup in the 143-year history of The Game.
Princeton 42, Penn 14
In Princeton, John Lovett passed for 255 yards and three touchdowns, and rushed for 123 yards and a score, and the Tigers (10-0, 7-0 Ivy League) beat Pennsylvania (6-4, 3-4) for its first perfect season since 1964. It was Princeton’s fourth outright Ivy League title, but its first since 1995. Columbia 24, Cornell 21 In Manhattan, freshman Mike Roussos scored on an 87-yard kickoff return with 45 seconds left, giving Columbia (6-4, 3-4 Ivy League) the win over Cornell (3-7, 2-5) and consecutive winning seasons for the first time in 56 years.
Army 28, Colgate 14
In West Point, fullback Darnell Woolfolk rushed for three touchdowns, the 10th time in his career with multiple scores, and Kelvin Hopkins Jr. ran for another score as Army (9-2) held off FCS foe Colgate (9-1).
Albany 25, Stony Brook 23
Ethan Stark kicked a 48yard field goal as time expired to lift Albany (3-8, 1-7 CAA) over visiting Stony Brook (7-4, 5-3), which had taken a 23-22 lead on Joe Carbone’s 41-yard scoring strike to Julius Wingate on a fourth-and-10 play with 17 seconds left, but failed on the 2-point conversion.
Fordham 17, Bucknell 14
In Lewisburg, Pa., Antonio Jackson returned an interception 70 yards for the go-ahead touchdown and Fordham (2-9, 2-4 Patriot League) turned back Bucknell (1-10, 1-5).
Monmouth 56, Gardner-Webb 42
In Boiling Springs, N.C., Kenji Bahar threw for a career-high 407 yards and five touchdowns as Monmouth (8-3, 3-1 Big South) closed out the regular season by beating Gardner-Webb (3-8, 1-3).
