Tagovailoa back at Alabama practice
Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa returned to practice for Alabama less than two weeks after surgery for a high ankle sprain. The sophomore wore a wrap around his left calf and ankle and was was lightly running around and throwing passes at the Crimson Tide’s first bowl practice before facing Oklahoma on Dec. 29 in the Orange Bowl.
Steelers may have running back Conner to face Pats
Pittsburgh is hopeful running back James Conner’s sprained left ankle will be ready in time to play Sunday against the Patriots. The Steelers listed Conner as questionable.
Jaguars add kicker as insurance for injured Lambo
Jacksonville signed place-kicker Kai Forbath in case Josh Lambo can’t play against the Redskins because of a groin injury. Lambo, the most accurate kicker in franchise history, injured his right groin in practice Thursday.

Running back LeSean McCoy is questionable for the Bills’ game against the Lions. McCoy suffered a hamstring injury against the Jets last weekend.

Red Wings defenseman out 3-5 weeks
Mike Green will miss 3-5 weeks because of a lower-body injury, the team announced. The defenseman, 33, leads Detroit in ice time with 21:56 minutes per game.
