O’Reilly to pen Trump tale

- Cindy Adams

LAST Friday, Bill O’Reilly spent two hours on Air Force One. Flying to Palm Beach, Fla. Also aboard, the most powerful passenger in the world — President Trump.

O’Reilly: “He’s my next book. I started four months ago, working with two of the absolute best researchers. Now I have to start editing it.

“He’s never given such an interview before. Nobody ever asked these particular questions. He didn’t get angry, but at one point he was annoyed and almost hit me on the head. He called Melania to help pull me off.

“Publisher’s Holt. It’s a big history book on the man. Not on security, economy and politics — which is what he really wanted to talk about. This is on him. Alone. The man. The human being. What he believes. His history. Background. Family. School. Friends. Thoughts. Growing up.

“It’s not another of my ‘Killing’ books. I’ve had 15 No. 1 best sellers. Nobody’s ever done that. This is him. Just him. Starting all the way back. It has no agenda. Not pro, not anti, it’s just fact-based. We don’t really know the man. It’s a f irst-time book on just exactly what formed him.” So all of which means just exactly what? “Look, the truth is, we know what he’s done in business, what he’s accomplished. But we don’t know him. “Community organizer Obama grew up in the system and depended on them because that’s who made him. This guy’s different. Nobody knows what he believes. He’s changed party affiliates four times. Has he any core beliefs? What formed him? I want to hear about when he was 12. His military academy years.

“Nobody ever asked him such questions.

“I want him to tell me about his family, grandparents, brothers, sisters, companions in real estate. We know what he’s done in business — but we don’t know him!” So when’s it to be published? “We’ll finish it as quickly as possible. Should be out in May (2020). In time for the election.”

Real frustrating

INTERNET consignment the RealReal, which resells clothes, jewelry, tchotchkes and furniture has upset some customers. For one $70 chair, it charged the buyer $520 for shipping. Since I reported that, similar complaints have come forward. A spokesperson for the firm told one irate lady they’ve noted this concern and may now rethink their practices. RealReal, really????

MOTHER to mother: “I finally figured out how to get my kids to do their homework without complaining. I now sit next to them while they’re doing it and I yell: ‘Is that your final answer?’ ”

Only in New York, kids, only in New York.
