A Broadway choreographer and dance teacher was charged Wednesday with molesting a 16-year-old student, according to law-enforcement officials.

David Marquez, 53, fondled the boy over his clothes on Aug. 15, 2017, police said, as the teen was lying on a couch during what were supposed to be dance lessons at Marquez’s upper Manhattan apartment.

The victim was visiting from Oregon specifically for dance instruction and has since returned home, the sources added.

He reported the incident in March, according to cops.

Marquez “was brought in for questioning and then was arrested” Wednesday, an NYPD spokesman said.

Cops collared him at 9:31 a.m. inside a Police Service Area station house in East Harlem.

It took nearly a year to arrest Marquez because “a lot of investigation went into it,” the NYPD spokesman added.

Police are investigating whether there are other alleged victims, according to the spokesman.

“Nothing as of yet, but obviously, something might come up,” he said. “That’s how things happen.”

He was charged with forcible touching and sex abuse, according to lawenforcement officials.

Marquez looked straight ahead as he was led out of the station house Wednesday after- noon, dressed in jeans, a Henley shirt, hoodie and bubble coat.

He did not say anything but kept his head up as he was marched to a transport vehicle en route to court. He was awaiting arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court Wednesday night.

Marquez danced in the original Broadway production of “Kiss of the Spider Woman,” according to an online biography.

His Broadway choreography credits include “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer,” “The Gershwins’ Fascinating Rhythm” and “Stanley.” He also claims to have danced with Michael Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and the C&C Music Factory.
