Weird BUT true

-

A scavenging bear got stuck atop a garbage truck, catching a ride through North Carolina.

The police pulled over the vehicle after a motorist called 911 to report that a bear was hanging on the truck.

The black bear became trapped during a stop when the driver — who had no idea he had company — secured netting on top to prevent garbage from blowing out.

Speaking of weird ways to hitch a ride . . .

A man was captured on video catching a tram ride in Rochdale, England — by clinging to the vehicle’s rear windshield wipers.

He can be seen hoisting himself up onto the tram and holding on by the wipers as it gains speed.

They picked the wrong target.

Two Florida men impersonating cops tried to pull a motorist but unfortunately selected a Miami-Dade county commissioner.

The official, retired decorated cop Joe Martinez, grew suspicious because the suspects’ vehicle bore temporary plates and was too flashy to be an unmarked police car.

He refused to stop and flagged down a real cop, and the suspects were soon busted.

Forget snakes on a plane, there’s a snake in a shoe.

A man from the town of Nelamangala, India, had to call a reptile handler after he discovered a cobra taking great interest in his footwear.

The handler humanely removed the snake.

He’s on a winning streak. A man who recently moved to Delaware scored a $70,000 lottery jackpot there after previously winning $8,000 in a lotto game in New Jersey.

“I was checking the tickets online . . . and thought I was hallucinating,” the winner, who wanted to remain anonymous, told lottery officials of his most recent score. “I went to the store to double check. I even slept with the ticket in my hand.”
