Kim: copycat collusion?sion?
KIM Kardashian was accused of helping fast-fastfashion site Fashion Nova — which pridesdes itself on being able to get a hot look into stores inn aa mattermatter of hours — to rip off designers’ work. Butut the reality star says she’s horrified by the very suggestionggestion that she’d get involved in such low-down deeds. The theory developed when a copycat version of a Thierry Mugler dress that Kardashian wore on Sunday popped up on Fashion Nova for $50. And, adding to the intrigue, Instagram accountunt Diet Prada — a fashion plagiarism watchdoghdog — pointed out that a Fashion Nova modelel had shared pictures of herself wearing the dress on Feb. 14 — several days before Kardashianhian wore it — and that the photo files were la-labeled “Kim Dress,” implying the star coulduld be tipping off Fashion Nova about her up-upcoming outfits in advance. But on Tuesday, day, Kardashian — who has herself admittedtted “paying homage” to designers with herr kids line — tweeted, “It’s devastating to seeee these fashion companies rip off designs thatat have taken the blood, sweat and tears of true design-designers who have put their all into their ownn origi-original ideas.” She added, “I’ve watched thesethese companies profit off my husband’s [rapperapper and designer Kanye West] work for years, and now that it’s also affecting designers whowho have been so generous to give me accessss to their beautiful works,” and said, “Don’t be-believe everything you read and see online.ne. I don’t have any relationships with theseese sites. I’m not leaking my looks to anyone,ne, and I don’t support what these companieses are doing.” Fashion Nova tells Page Six’ss Melissa Minton, “We have not workedd with Kim Kardashian West directly onn any of her projects but have been drivenn by her influential style.”
