Hunter out at Wendy show

-

FIRST he lost his wife, now he’s off her show. Kevin Hunter — the soon-to-be-exhusband of talk show host Wendy Williams — is out as executive producer of her namesake daytime program.

Page Six previously reported that Hunter was negotiating an exit from “The Wendy Williams Show” after the couple’s increasingly messy split — which included Hunter’s alleged mistress, Sharina Hudson, giving birth to a baby widely assumed to be his.

“Kevin Hunter is no longer an executive producer on ‘The Wendy Williams Show,’ ” a spokesperson for the show, produced by Debmar-Mercury, told The Post’s Francesca Bacardi on Thursday. “Debmar-Mercury wishes him well in his future endeavors.” Hunter had been part of the show since its launch in 2008.

Prior to his ouster, Williams had hired extra security on set while still working with Hunter to protect her from his allegedly abusive behavior, sources said. Williams and Hunter tied the knot in 1997, but their marriage is ending after longtime rumors of infidelity and abuse.

Page Six exclusively reported last week that Williams filed divorce papers in New Jersey.

Said Hunter this week of their split: “I am not proud of my recent actions and take full accountability and apologize to my wife, my family and her amazing fans.” He added, “I am going through a time of self-reflection and am trying to right some wrongs.”

Williams, who’s been living in a sober facility in Queens to treat her addiction issues, has lost a husband, but rekindled a friendship with radio host Charlamagne tha God — who claimed their close bond ended a decade ago after he introduced Hunter to Hudson. Williams said on her show Thursday that she and Charlamagne are now back in touch. He then said in an interview with “The Breakfast Club”: “[As] someone who used to be friends with Wendy, work with Wendy, and having a front-row seat to a lot of the abuse I saw her endure, I’m just happy that she’s finally free of that stuff.”
