'Aquaman' has a close shave
Jason Momoa is ready for a huge change.
The “Aquaman” and “Game of Thrones” actor, 39, drove fans into a frenzy on Wednesday when he posted a video on YouTube of himself shaving his rugged beard for the first time since 2012.
But Momoa isn’t simply ridding himself of his most recognizable feature because of the end of “Thrones” (although he does bid goodbye to his character, Khal Drogo, in the video).
The Hawaiianwaiian hunk pulled the stunt as a way to signify a “change forr the better” and encourage people to stop using plasticc bottles.
“I just wantnt to do this to bring awareness.ness. Plastics are killing our planet,” he said whileile taking a razor to thehe scruffy beard in thee middle of a polluteded desert in Jordan.
Fans hadad mixed reaction to the new look. “Well done guys, first you destroyed the planet and now you destroy Jason Momoa’s beard. I don’t know which is worse. Shame on you all,” one person tweeted. Momoa also revealed that he has developed his own water brand in aluminum cans. “It’s time to make a change. A change for the better . . . for my kids, your kids, the world. Let’s make a positive change for the health of our planet,” he captionedcaption the video. “Let’s clean up our oceans our land. Join me on this journejourney. Let’s make the switswitch to infinitelyfinitely recyclablere aluminum. WWater in cans, not plaplastic.” One fan tweeted in responresponse, “I’ll drink any waterw you want, grow it back please!”
