'Aquaman' has a close shave

Jason Momoa is ready for a huge change.

The “Aquaman” and “Game of Thrones” actor, 39, drove fans into a frenzy on Wednesday when he posted a video on YouTube of himself shaving his rugged beard for the first time since 2012.

But Momoa isn’t simply ridding himself of his most recognizab­le feature because of the end of “Thrones” (although he does bid goodbye to his character, Khal Drogo, in the video).

The Hawaiianwa­iian hunk pulled the stunt as a way to signify a “change forr the better” and encourage people to stop using plasticc bottles.

“I just wantnt to do this to bring awareness.ness. Plastics are killing our planet,” he said whileile taking a razor to thehe scruffy beard in thee middle of a polluteded desert in Jordan.

Fans hadad mixed reaction to the new look. “Well done guys, first you destroyed the planet and now you destroy Jason Momoa’s beard. I don’t know which is worse. Shame on you all,” one person tweeted. Momoa also revealed that he has developed his own water brand in aluminum cans. “It’s time to make a change. A change for the better . . . for my kids, your kids, the world. Let’s make a positive change for the health of our planet,” he captionedc­aption the video. “Let’s clean up our oceans our land. Join me on this journejour­ney. Let’s make the switswitch to infinitely­finitely recyclable­re aluminum. WWater in cans, not plaplastic.” One fan tweeted in responresp­onse, “I’ll drink any waterw you want, grow it back please!”
