Grin a whole lot of trouble

Merry gang round-up

Who’s smiling now? Disturbing footage released Tuesday revealed alleged Brooklyn gangbangers gleefully and recklessly firing guns into the streets and reloading a weapon on a subway train.

The videos were put out by the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office as it announced a slew of charges against 21 alleged members of Folk Nation-affiliated gangs, including murder, conspiracy to commit murder, robbery and weapons possession.

“These defendants terrorized the streets of Brooklyn by opening fire on perceived rivals and recklessly firing their guns — including in broad daylight — endangering innocent bystanders,” said DA Eric Gonzalez.

The fresh charges against accused members of the Super Rich Kids/Street Rich Kartel and Newkirk gangs relate to the slaying of an innocent 15-year-old boy named Rohan Levy in Flatbush in 2017 and other attacks on rival crew members in Brooklyn.

In one clip released by prosecutors, Travis Laroc, now 17, is allegedly seen grinning as he loads a magazine with bullets on a subway train in December 2016, prosecutors said. He is then allegedly seen on surveillance footage hours later opening fire on a rival in the middle of a crosswalk on a commercial strip in Crown Heights.

“Imagine the fear you would have sitting on that train and seeing these young men loading guns,” Gonzalez said.

In another clip, a grinning Khalil Irving, now 18, is allegedly shown standing on a rooftop and firing into the air above other houses.

Yet another allegedly shows Keemari Porter, now 19, calmly opening fire from a doorway across a courtyard to other buildings where rivals live.

The 65-count indictment also details alleged communication between the teens and men about crimes — including the attack on Levy.

“Y’all don’t say nothing what happened today keep it to y’all self… And SRK… YALL Don’t KNOW S–T I REPEAT YALL Don’t Know S–T… It might be clipped… For me,” Laroc allegedly messaged other SRK members after the shooting.

Nineteen of the defendants were arraigned last week, and two — Omar Peters, 24, and Jabare Brim, 22 — are still at large, prosecutors said.

NYPD Chief Terence Monahan on Monday accused Gonzalez of going too easy on gun-possession cases by allowing perps to enter no-jail diversion programs.

But the DA noted Tuesday that no one responsible for actual shootings would be eligible.

“To make it clear, no one who is involved in these kinds of acts of violence are eligible for diversion,” he said.
