Weird BUT true

-

This tale of naked ambition does not end well.

A Missouri man was accused of stealing his neighbor’s truck, right after he said good morning to her — while he was nude.

The 30-year-old man then sped the wrong way down a highway before running off the road and flipping the vehicle over, in a fiery crash.

That had to hurt.

Someone tell this Memphis man he’s entitled to a jury of his peers — not pals.

Convicted of attempted murder, Madreiekus Blakes, kes, 32, fled during a court re-recess by catching a ride withith a juror.

The juror later admittedted driving Blakes home but said they didn’t discuss the case. Blakes is still at large.e.

In other court news, a brazen Michigan crook swiped a cellphone while awaiting sentencing for a traffic violation.

The man, who wasn’t publicly identified, snatched the phone, which was sitting unattended on a bench, but was caught thanks to sur-veillance video.

“The audacity of thiss defendant is alarming,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Eric Smith. She’s so metal. A hiker in Canadaada fended off a cougar attackack by blasting Metallica’sa’s “Don’t Tread On Me” at the beast.

Dee Gallant said the tuneune was the most threateninging one she could imagine.

After her story spread,ad, Gallant got a call from the heavy-metal band’s front-ntman, James Hetfield, whowho was “very down to earth,” she said.

This is a case of claw enforcement.

Missouri police say a man stole a kitten-filled BMW from a rest stop before crashing it and running away into some woods.

The cats are OK, but cops are still hunting the crook.
