Ignoring Middle East Truth: AOC’s PA Riot Defense
Rep. Alexandria OcasioCortez defended the rights of Palestinians to “riot” if they do not have access to clean water (“AOC: No option but to ‘riot’ vs. Israel,” Aug. 1).
The way the Palestinians “riot” is by shooting rockets into civilian areas in Israel. I would like to remind AOC of what was once said by Israeli politician Golda Meir: “Peace will come to the Middle East when the Arabs love their children more than they hate us.”
Israel has always wanted peace, and still does. The Palestinians are not interested in peace. Barry Koppel Kew Gardens Hills
How much more slander and incitement do we have to hear from AOC and Reps. Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar before they are booted off their prestigious congressional committees?
Israel is the focus of the hatred that drives AOC and her “Squad” to delegitimize and denigrate America’s ally with uncorroborated lies and smears.
If she understood or cared to know an iota of the lengths to which Israel goes to help the Palestinians, even those working with Hamas on the Gaza border who attack and threaten Israel on a daily basis, she would be praising Israel to the skies.
Nancy Pelosi deserves a huge reprimand and more for appointing AOC to important committees. Helen Freedman Manhattan
Ocasio-Cortez is a very foolish, uninformed and dangerous woman. She makes statements that are outrageously false.
She insinuated that Israel is blocking the Arabs from getting clean water — what nonsense. She apparently does not know just how much Israel does for Gaza, despite being constantly bombarded by terrorists.
Money has been poured into Gaza in order to improve the lives of ordinary Arab citizens, but instead of building a state, their leaders built tunnels to go under the border to kill Israelis — men, women and children. Fay Sladowsky Lawrence
Ocasio-Cortez’s answer to improving living conditions is chaos and mass violence. Here’s a memo to AOC: That makes life more desperate and uncivilized. Manny Martin Manhattan
Ocasio-Cortez and her Squad say it is fine to criticize Israel, saying some rather vile and demeaning things while doing so, without being labeled anti-Semitic.
However, let a conservative merely disagree with the policies of a nonwhite politician and they are immediately and unequivocally labeled a racist by this same group. Can you say double standard? What hypocrites. Joseph Paino Manhattan
