Run-light collision in B’klyn

A teenage driverr ran a red light in Mid-Midwood Sunday af-fternoon, causing aa crash that killed a bicyclist and injured two other men, according to police.

The cyclist,, José Alzórriz (in-nset), 52, becameme the 19th bike riderder killed on the city’s streets this year.

The accident occurred just before 12:30 p.m. at Coney Island Avenue and Avenue L in Brooklyn when the 18-year-old driver ran the light (pictured, 1) and smashed his Dodge sedan into a Honda SUV (pictured, 2), according to police.

The SUV, which was heading east on Avenue L, was forced onto Coney Island Avenue (pictured, 3 and 4) — and into the cyclist and a 52year-old pedestrian, police said.

Alzórriz was unconsciou­s and suffering from head trauma when police arrived on the scene. EMS rushed him to NYC Health + Hospitals/Coney Island, where he died.

Alzórriz, a publicatio­ns translator for Citigroup, was described by neighbors as a “really good guy.”

“It’s shocking to hear. It’s hard to process,” Alex Caplan told The Post. “I’d see him ride a lot. He rides for transporta­tion. He used to ride triathlons, but I don’t think he did that anymore.”

The neighbor added: “It’s going to be strange not to see him around.”

The pedestrian injured his left leg and the 38-year-old man driving the SUV suffered body trauma, according to police. Both were taken Maimonides Medical Center, where they were listed in stable condition.

The teen driver, whose name was not released, was taken into custody and charges against him were pending.
