Liam sad as Miley moves on

MILEY Cyrus has been enjoying a fling with “The Hills” star Kaitlynn Carter for “a couple of months” as her marriage to Liam Hemsworth crumbled, Page Six has exclusively learned.

An insider told PageSix.com’s Chelsea Hirsch that Carter and Cyrus have been hooking up for months and Carter’s ex-husband, Brody Jenner, even knew about it. Jenner and Carter split earlier this month. The source added, “Brody is still friends with them. There’s no drama.”

Pictures of Cyrus making out with Carter appeared just one day after news broke that Cyrus had split with Hemsworth, her husband of less than a year. She was photographed kissing Carter on a yacht in Lake Como, Italy, on Sunday. News of the split between Hemsworth and Cyrus broke on Saturday, and it is not clear how much he knew about her relationship with Carter.

Meanwhile, “Hunger Games” star Hemsworth (below) seems to be struggling with the split. The 29-year-old Australian actor has been lying low Down Under with his brother Chris, and appeared downcast and emotional when asked about Miley. “You don’t understand what it’s like,” he told an Australian outlet. “I don’t want to talk about it, mate.”

Hemsworth and Cyrus had been together in an on-again, off-again relationship for nearly a decade, with him proposing way back in 2012. They wed in an intimate ceremony at their home in Tennessee in December.

But Cyrus, 26, has repeatedly said she identifies as queer despite her long-term relationship with Hemsworth. In 2015, she came out as pansexual and dated Victoria’s Secret model Stella Maxwell. “My whole life, I didn’t understand my own gender and my own sexuality. I always hated the word ‘bisexual’ because that’s even putting me in a box. I don’t ever think about someone being a boy or someone being a girl,” she told Variety in 2016.
