10-hour huddle with NFL
Brown accuser meets league probers
The woman who accused Antonio Brown of rape met with NFL investigators for 10 hours — leaving Brown’s fate in the hands of league commissioner Roger Goodell, according to multiple reports.
Britney Taylor, a former personal trainer for Brown, met with the league Monday at an undisclosed location for a marathon sit-down that didn’t conclude until 10 p.m., one source with knowledge of the meeting told CNN.
NFL investigators also want to sit down with Brown, but it’s not clear if a date has been set, an NFL source told Yahoo Sports — adding the league would keep in touch with Taylor going forward.
Taylor filed a civil lawsuit in Florida federal court last week alleging the New England Patriots wide receiver assaulted her twice in 2017 before raping her at his Miami home in 2018.
The filing came three days after Brown was released by the Oakland Raiders and signed with the Patriots just hours later.
Goodell has the authority to place 31-year-old Brown on paid leave if he believes the Patriots recruit has violated the NFL’s conduct policy.icy.
But that decision may not come for some time, the Washington Post reported.
A source said there was “nothing imminent” as of Tuesday afternoon that would prompt the NFL to place Brown on paid administrative leave, according to the report.
There is also no timeline for the league to make a decision because the investigation into sexual-misconduct allegations against Brown is ongoing.
Because the wideout is not facing criminal charges, he was given the all-clear to make his debut for the Patriots on Sunday — catching his first touchdown of the season.
The Patriots host the New York Jets this Sunday in Foxborough, Mass.
The receiver — who has three sons with current girlfriend Chelsie Kyriss — has denied all the charges against him through his lawyer, including new allegations Monday that he exposed himself to a female painter and farted in his doctor’s face.
The second accuser said Brown inappropriately propositioned her at his Pittsburgh home in 2017 — standing behind her fully naked, holding nothing but a small towel over his genitals, as she painted, according to a Sports Illustrated report.
Dr. Victor Prisk also accusedcused Brown of repeatedly farting in his face and laughinging ababout it during a 2018 consuconsultation to which he was threeth hours late — and claims the athlete still owes hihim $11,000 in unpaid
