CHOO-CHOO CHEER

The New York Botanical Garden’s annual Holiday Train Show gets an upgrade this year with improvemen­ts to its miniature Central Park, including new models of the Dairy, Bethesda Terrace and Belvedere Castle. “I’m enamored with the Naumburg Bandshell,” says Karen Daubmann, associate vice president for exhibition­s and public engagement. “I love that it is created out of a gourd!” Through Jan. 26, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. most days; $30 this weekend for adults, $28 for seniors and students, $18 for kids, free for kids under 2; 2900 Southern Blvd., The Bronx; NYBG.org

O CHRISTMAS TREE

The iconic evergreen in Rockefelle­r Center won’t be lit until Wednesday, but Bayside is ready to give its tree a glow-up this weekend. The community event features a soap-suds snow machine and is preceded by a lively children’s parade. Parade begins Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at 36th Avenue and Bell Boulevard; tree lighting follows on 41st Avenue near the Bayside LIRR station
