OFFENSE

Daniel Jones (20 of 37, 240 yards), battling through an ankle issue, looked like a rookie on a “what was he doing?’’ interception in the second quarter and then threw two more picks, his wildest throwing game thus far. Saquon Barkley (19-83) looked a bit more like himself but not like his special self. How about rookie TE Kaden Smith (6-70)? Another rookie,

Darius Slayton (6-44), continues to get open and Sterling Shepard finally got a TD catch. The three turnovers were killers. At least Jones was not sacked.

DEFENSE

You have to think Aaron Rodgers (21 of 33, 243 yards, 4 TDs) went home and thought, “Man, that was easy.’’ He amassed a passer rating of 125.4 as he toyed with this shabby secondary. Veteran S Antoine Bethea got turned around and allowed Allen Lazard an uncontested 37-yard TD, and CB Sam Beal got beat by Davante Adams for one of Adams’ two TDs. Solid work against the run (only 79 yards allowed) but no sacks and not much pressure on Rodgers. Costly pass interference penalties on Beal and Grant

Haley led to Packers TDs.

D

SPECIAL TEAMS

Aldrick Rosas made both his fieldgoal attempts, from 27 and 45 yards, and that is a good sign for the Giants. Snaps by newly signed Colin Holba were on the money as he replaced longtime long snapper Zak DeOssie.

Da’Mari Scott made his debut and had a 12-yard punt return. Only one punt for Riley Dixon and it went for 47 yards.

COACHING

The winning formula continues to elude Pat Shurmur and he knows until his team starts winning he will hear criticism from fans and the media. Why no QB sneak on fourthand-inches on first series? Would have been better than seeing Barkley lose 3 yards. Defensive coordinator

James Bettcher continues to get burned by the young players in his secondary and there were moments when it looked as if there was no coverage at all. Rough stuff all around.
