Weird BUT true

A police therapy dog in Massachusetts was caught stealing toys from a charity drive.

The pup, Ben Franklin, was seen on surveillance footage running off with a doll — leading Franklin police right to his stash of goodies, hidden by his bed under a desk.

None of the toys could be salvaged, because they were covered in slobber, cops said. The pilfering pooch won’t face charges, but he has been banned from the toy room.

A 7-year-old Labrador had to undergo two lifesaving surgeries after gorging on more than 30 homemade gingerbread Christmas tree decorations.

During the operation on British pooch Marley, vets removed 34 decorative ribbons that had been attached to the cookies.

It’s shear madness. A barbershop employee in Texas was shot amid an argument over a kid’s haircut on Saturday.

Police said a customer fired off three rounds during an argument over his 13year-old son’s haircut and then fled.

The worker was in stable condition and the shooter still on the loose Sunday.

A group of friends in Louisiana have built a 78-foot wooden alligator — and plan to set it ablaze on Christmas Eve.

The group — called Blood, Sweat and Bonfires — has been constructing unusual bonfires for the last 20 years.

They’ve created turtles, guitars, crawfish and a pelican — the state bird of Louisiana.

A defective soda machine at a McDonald’s restaurant in Peru caused the deaths of two workers last week.

Cleaners Carlos Campos, 19, and Alexandra Porrasa, 18 — died late Dec. 15 after being electrocuted by the machine.

Since their deaths, the fast-food chain has closed its 29 stores throughout the country while police investigate.
