Kids fight off carjacker with tablet

Merry Christmas, ya filthy animal.

A 10-year-old Chicago boy and his teen sister channeled “Home Alone” to take down a carjacker, clocking the crook with an iPad as he tried to drive off — with the siblings inside the vehicle.

“I said, ‘I’ll get out, fine,’ and then I started hitting him with the iPad,” hero tween Hasnain Muratab told ABC affiliate WLS-TV. “I felt brave and strong.”

While their dad was picking up dinner at a nearby Domino’s, Hasnain, older sister Imama, and their 5-year-old sister, Ayesha, were sitting in the back seat of the family’s running 2018 Toyota Highlander at about 11:20 p.m. Sunday, when the creep threw open the door.

“This dude just jumps in the car and he looks back and I realize it’s not my dad,” 16-year-old Imama told WLS.

“So I go, ‘Who are you?!’ And he starts driving really fast, going in like a zigzag pattern.

“And he goes, ‘Get out or I’m going to shoot you.’ ”

With the car whizzing away from the Domino’s and through the Windy City’s West Ridge neighborhood, Imama realized she had to do something — and that she couldn’t do it alone.

“I was just scared for my life. I didn’t know what to do,” she recalled.

“I was in panic mode, like, I wanted to cry but I knew I had to do something that can help.”

So she screamed to wake up her sleeping kid brother, who pretended that he would follow the man’s orders and get out of the SUV — but then unleashed his inner Kevin McCallister and pummeled the thug with the tablet.

That’s when Imama tagged in. “My phone was dead so I couldn’t call 911,” said the teen. “I see my dad’s phone in the passenger seat so I, like, try to strangle the dude from the back because I was right behind him.”

Keeping a grip on the carjacker, Imama grabbed her dad’s phone and called 911.

“Thirty seconds into the call, the dude just hopped out of the car,” she said.

After bailing, the crook jumped into a Toyota Camry apparently driven by his accomplices.

The Camry — itself previously reported stolen — was located by cops some 40 minutes later at a nearby gas station with five people inside, authorities said.

One of the suspects got away, but four were arrested and charged with criminal trespass to vehicles: Ralph Enriquez, 22; Kaily and Steffy Lagunas, both 19; and a 16-year-old boy whose name was not released by authorities.

The report did not specify which — if any — of the five was implicated in the carjacking, but the investigation is ongoing.

The kids were unharmed during their wild ride and were quickly reunited with their father.
