Meghan Markle wasn’t involved in the historic Megxit summit because she felt it “wasn’t necessary,” it was revealed Tuesday.

Palace sources had said the Duchess of Sussex was supposed to phone in to Monday’s crunch talks about her and Prince Harry’s future role in the monarchy but ended up being thwarted over security concerns.

Buckingham Palace denied the claim Tuesday, saying Meghan, who is in Canada, wasn’t included in the talks in Britain out of choice.

“In the end, the Sussexes decided that it wasn’t necessary for the Duchess to join,” the palace said in a statement to The Sun.

Harry was in regular contact with Meghan to “keep her in the loop” about the talks with his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II (inset below), dad, Prince Charles, and brother, Prince William, The Sun reported.

During Monday’s family meeting at the queen’s Sandringham estate, the couple got the nod from the monarch to proceed with their plans to drop their “senior royal duties’’ and split their time between North America and Britain.

Harry is expected to appear one more time in public — at an event for the 2021 Rugby League World Cup at Buckingham Palace — on Thursday before flying off to be reunited with Meghan and their baby son, Archie.

As for Meghan, she has been lying low at an exclusive secluded estate on Vancouver Island as the guest of a wealthy pal.

She had tea at a women’s center in a downtrodden Vancouver neighborhood Tuesday — one of her first public appearances since she and Harry famously announced their plans on Instagram last week to seriously separate themselves from royal life.

The duchess was spotted beaming as she boarded a seaplane at Victoria Harbour Airport, a little over 20 miles from her current digs, dressed in a green parka with a fur-lined hood and knee-high leather boots, the Daily Mail said.

Meghan was previously seen driving herself around the island in a Range Rover to do errands, rands, according to re-eports.

She would gogo “out aroundnd midday just to get out,’’ a sourcece told E! News. A security detail follows her around, the site said. At one point, she drove “to pick up someoneso at the airport thatth looked like her mommom,’’ the source addedadded. HarHarry and Meghanghan have been ripped ffor blindsiding the ququeen and the rerest of the royal fafamily with their Megxit announcement.

Still, Harry is contrite over making his relatives, especially his grandmother the queen, upset by not breaking the news to them first, a source told Britain’s Telegraph.

“I don’t think he fully appreciated the impact the statement would have in terms of them not consulting the queen,’’ the insider said. “He regrets that.”
