WHACKED IN BRONX
Gang boss executed in broad daylight
The leader of a notorious Bronx motorcycle gang was shot dead in what is believed to be a targeted hit by two masked gunmen who were caught in the act on camera.
Francisco Rosado, 51, who headed the Bronx chapter of the Pagans Motorcycle Club, took bullets to the head and chest at 3:20 p.m. Saturday on Holland Avenue near Mace Avenue in Allerton, according to law-enforcement sources.
Rosado was declared dead at the scene.
Disturbing surveillance footage obtained Monday by The Post shows the moment Rosado’s attackers exit their blue Jeep Cherokee, which was parked near the scene, before the fatal shooting.
The two men, dressed in all black, can be seen darting away from the SUV with their handguns trained. Their weapons appear to be equipped with silencers.
The dramatic daylight scene shocked bystanders — especially one witness who reversed his tracks as the gunfire erupted.
As the two men rush toward their intended target, that bystander is heading toward them in a crosswalk before he scrambles back in the direction he came from, even as he turns his head to witness the attack.
The two killers leave the camera’s frame for several seconds before darting back into the vehicle and speeding away, making their getaway by driving across the sidewalk and making an illegal U-turn.
The surveillance footage does not capture the actual shooting.
No arrests had been made of as of Monday night.
The Pagans operate all along the East Coast, with more than 1,000 members. The biker gang has a hand in drugs, tattoo parlors, strip clubs and junkyards.
The group has a long history of violence with another reputed biker gang, the Hells Angels.
In 2002, the two gangs infamously squared off in a wild twohour rumble on Long Island, resulting in the shooting death of 50-year-old Pagans member Robert Rutherford.
In that melee, 10 vans filled with Pagans — mostly from Pennsylvania and Virginia — traveled to Plainview to disrupt a Hells Angels tattoo-and- motorcycle show, authorities have said.
