NFL: Veteran Ginn gets 1-year deal

The Bears have signed wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. to a one-year contract.

A 13-year veteran who has played in Super Bowls with San Francisco and Carolina, Ginn caught 30 passes for 421 yards and two touchdowns with New Orleans last season. He has 409 receptions for 5,702 yards and 33 touchdowns. BASEBALL: ESPN to air KBO ESPN will begin airing six regular season games per week from South Korea’s KBO baseball league.

The first game featuring the NC Dinos taking on the Samsung Lions was set to air at 1 a.m. ET Tuesday. Games will air regularly Tuesday through Friday at 5:30 a.m. ET, Saturday at 4 a.m. ET, and Sunday at 1 a.m. ET. Most will be on ESPN2.

ESPN announcers will provide commentary in English from their home studios.

Karl Ravech and Eduardo Perez will do three games this week, including the opener. Jon Sciambi, Jessica Mendoza and Kyle Peterson will also call games. ETC.: Forum sale complete

Clippers owner Steve Ballmer completed his purchase of The Forum from Madison Square Garden Entertainm­ent Corp. for $400 million. The Clippers’ plans for a new, privately financed NBA arena in Inglewood, Calif., near The Forum are progressin­g, and the team said owning both arenas will allow for coordinate­d programmin­g between the venues.

Monmouth Park plans to start its delayed thoroughbr­ed season on July 3.

The track near the New Jersey shore announced a trimmed-down stakes schedule. The meet will run 37 days and feature 35 stakes worth more than $5 million. The highlight is the $1 million TVG.com Haskell on July 18.
