Trump railed against the Obama administration and the nation’s former spy chiefs after a tranche of explosive evidence released on Thursday reaffirmed that the FBI found no evidence of collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign.

Trump accused ex-Director of National Intelligence James Clapper of lying and being in cahoots with CNN, and suggested former President Barack Obama and Biden, his vice president, were in on the scheme to scapegoat Michael Flynn.

“There’s more to come, from what I understand, and they’re going to be far greater than what you’ve seen so far and what you’ve seen so far is incredible, especially as it relates to President Obama,” Trump said, suggesting more documents could be released.

“If anyone thinks that he and sleepy Joe Biden didn’t know what was going on, they have another thing coming,” he added.

“I believe he and Biden — sleepy Joe — were involved in this also, very much, and other people around President Obama were totally involved, and you’ll see more and more things come out.”

Trump’s Fox interview came after the Justice Department said it would drop charges against Flynn and after the House Intelligence Committee released on Thursday transcripts of its interviews over the Russia probe in which Clapper admitted in July 2017 that he saw no evidence that the Trump campaign conspired with Russia.

Trump upbraided Clapper, who claimed on CNN in December 2017 that Trump was a Russian “asset” that President Vladimir Putin knew how to handle.

“I understand Clapper. He gets a couple of bucks from CNN and [CNN President] Jeff Zucker and that den of thieves over there. They tell him at CNN and ‘MSDNC,’ they tell him exactly what to say,” Trump said.

The president also suggested his current FBI chief, Christopher Wray, was on thin ice, calling Wray’s reviews into the bureau’s handling of the Russia investigation “disappointing.”

“Let’s see what happens with him,” Trump said. “Look, the jury’s still out.”
