MEET

The blond, wicked Villanelle in “Killing Eve” is the kind of over-the-top fictional character who couldn’t possibly be real — right? Not so fast. It turns out the psychopath played by Jodie Comer, 27, was based on a very real villain. Luke Jennings, who wrote the novels on which the hit TV series is based, has exposed the inspiration behind the character: Idoia López

Riaño, a Spanish hitwoman whose “legendary sexual prowess” inspired the nickname La Tigresa. “She killed 23 people, and she was clearly a psychopath and completely, completely without empathy,” Jennings reveals in an online chat for the new Lyme Crime literary festival. Imprisoned in the 1990s for murders she committed for a Basque terrorist group, and rumored to have had sex with police officers before slaying their colleagues, the now-55-yearold was released in 2017. Watch new episodes of “Killing Eve” on Sundays at 9 p.m. on AMC and BBC America.

STREAM

The Prince Estate is presenting a free YouTube stream of “Prince and the

Revolution: Live” for a limited time. The legendary concert, filmed in Syracuse, NY, on 1985’s “Purple Rain” tour, is packed with classics such as “Let’s Go Crazy,” “When Doves Cry,” “I Would Die 4 U,” “Purple Rain,” “1999” and “Little Red Corvette,” as well as rare B-sides such as “Possessed” and “How Come U Don’t Call Me Anymore.” Watch it through 11:59 p.m. Sunday.

SINGALONG

More than a dozen comedians joined forces for an inspiring quarantine singalong with a message:

“Eat It” — “Weird Al” Yankovic’s 1984 parody of Michael Jackson’s “Beat It.” The video is a tongue-incheek rebuttal to Gal Gadot’s celebrity “Imagine” singalong, which was lambasted as “out-of-touch” in March, on the cusp of a global pandemic. This new video features Bob Odenkirk — whose son battled COVID-19 — and David Cross, co-creators of the 1995-98 sketch comedy “Mr. Show.” They are joined by the series’ cast — and a bunch of other stars — for the reunion special to benefit Lift, a national nonprofit helping families battling poverty. Watch it on Cross’ YouTube channel.

LET IT GO

Disney has called on one of its coolest characters to warm the hearts of lonely kids forced to stay home during the coronavirus lockdown. The studio released a clip of Olaf from “Frozen,” voiced by Josh Gad, singing “I Am With

You” to characters in the quarantined fictional city of Arendelle, with lyrics geared to let kids of all ages know they are not going through this alone. The cute clip includes scenes from Disney classics such as “The Lion King,” “Alice in Wonderland,” “Beauty and the Beast” and many more iconic Disney flicks. Listen to the track on Disney Animation’s official Twitter page.

ROAR

Katy Perry will perform her new single, “Daisies,” during a live Q&A at 1 p.m. Friday on Amazon Music. The busy “American Idol” judge, who is expecting her first child with fiancé Orlando Bloom this summer, announced earlier this week that she has another big arrival — her fifth studio album, “KP5” — coming Aug. 14. The “Roar” singer, who revealed that she has suffered from “waves of depression” during the coronavirus pandemic, also will perform the 1985 USA for Africa anthem “We Are the World” alongside fellow “Idol” judges Lionel Richie (who co-wrote the song) and Luke Bryan, and a lineup of former contestants during the season finale at 8 p.m. Sunday on ABC. Stream the live Q&A at Amazon.com/live.

CELEBRATE

The coronavirus crisis may have sidelined graduation ceremonies, but some allstar commencements will go down Friday for seniors stuck at home. First up, a

virtual graduation by Her Campus Media kicks off at noon with help from musicians including Teyana Taylor, Lennon Stella, Liam Payne, Austin Mahone, Frankie Grande, Jesse McCartney and Grouplove. Other celebs saluting grads will include Eva Longoria, Margaret Cho, Tamron Hall, Marcia Gay Harden and Billie Jean King. Facebook Watch will then host a Celebrate the Class of 2020 event at 2 p.m. Friday with a commencement speech by Oprah Winfrey and appearances by pop stars Miley Cyrus (who will perform her hit “The Climb”) and Lil Nas X. Now that’s plenty of pomp and circumstance. Stream the events at ImStillGraduating.com and Facebook.com/facebookapp.
