Gave her ‘the finger’

Depp ’fess to bloody ‘love’ scrawl

Johnny Depp scrawled, “I love you,” on a mirror — with blood from his severed finger — during an alleged “three-day ordeal of assaults” on then-wife Amber Heard, a London court heard Thursday.

The scene was described in gory detail as Depp, 57, took the stand at the High Court for a third straight day in his libel suit against Britain’s Sun newspaper for describing him as a “wife-beater” in a 2018 article.

The Oscar nominee — who has “vehemently” denied raising a hand in anger against his now-ex-wife — testified that during the 2015 row it was Heard who hurled a vodka bottle at him, claiming it “severed my finger and crushed my bones.”

“When I realized that the tip of my finger was missing — pouring blood profusely, tip of the bone sticking out — I believe I went into some kind of breakdown, some species of nervous breakdown,” Depp told the court.

The “Edward Scissorhands” star admittedly then went to a mirror in the couple’s rented Australia home and scrawled on it in his own blood, “I love you.”

A message saying, “Call Carly Simon, she said it better, babe” — referring to the singer’s hit, “You’re So Vain” — was written on the mirror by Heard after he went to a hospital, Depp said.

But Heard, 34, in a written statement read to the court, alleged that Depp subjected her to a “three-day ordeal of assaults” during their trip to Australia — about a month after their wedding — and claimed she was eventually forced to barricade herself in a bedroom for safety.

Depressed over filming the next flick in his “Pirates of the Caribbean” series and “completely off [his] head on drink and drugs” — including, at one point, 10 ecstasy tablets plus vodka and wine in two hours — Depp unleashed hell on Heard, The Sun’s lawyer, Sasha Wass, alleged.

He allegedly tore off her nightgown, shoved her onto a pingpong table and choked her up against a refrigerator, according to Wass.

Heard wrote that she was “scared for her life” during those three days, which Wass claimed left the “Aquaman” actress with a “broken lip, swollen nose and cuts all over her body.”

The house was totaled, with an estimated $190,000 in damage.

Depp admitted he and his wife had a blowout, initially telling the court that he lost it over her refusal to sign a postnuptial agreement.

But on further questioning from Wass, the actor said he also “possibly” accused her during the meltdown of cheating on him with the actor Billy Bob Thornton.

But Depp dismissed allegations of physical assault as “fabricated and vicious,” as well as “pedestrian fiction” — despite testifying that he told Heard multiple times, “Listen, we are a crime scene waiting to happen.”

The Sun is arguing that its “wifebeater” report was not libelous based on Heard’s allegations of 14 incidents of violence by Depp between 2013 and 2016.

The couple’s divorce was finalized in January 2017 after less than two years of marriage.

Depp will take the stand Friday for a fourth — and, it is expected, final — day of testimony before Heard testifies next week.
