When a bird went after a British man’s fast-food meal, he bit back.

Police in Plymouth, England, recently saw a man biting a seagull, so they detained him, suspecting he might be on drugs.

The man allegedly claimed the fowl tried to take his McDonald’s meal, so he “sunk his teeth into it before throwing it to the floor.”

He was taken into custody because seagulls are a protected species. The bird flew off before officials could check on it.
