Dems’ Anti-Trump Overkill: An Insane Goya Boycott
Kudos to Robert Unanue, CEO of Goya Foods, who has adamantly refused to kneel to the politically correct mob and apologize for his praise for President Trump on his recent Hispanic Prosperity Initiative meeting at the White House (“Goya big defiant despite backlash,” July 11).
This is still a nation of free speech, and not everyone will cave to pressure and apologize profusely like Drew Brees, the New York Times editorial board and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. Stand your ground, Robert Unanue. Michael Headley

There are those who want to boycott Goya Foods because of Unanue’s praise for Trump. I find this sad.
I thought in America, we live in a free country and have freedom of speech. As for myself, I served in the US Navy during the Vietnam era and support the right to free speech.
Unanue announced a plan, along with partners, to donate 1 million cans of chickpeas and 1 million pounds of food to food banks. This is a beautiful thing to do in my book.
As for myself, I intend to buy more Goya products and will tell my friends, neighbors and relatives to do the same. A purchase of Goya Foods is a salute to free speech. Frederick Bedell

I will continue to buy Goya products as long as they are available. They’re very high quality, and the company employs thousands of hardworking people. And importantly, the owner is anti-Communist, feeding the left’s hate.
THE ISSUE: Calls to boycott Goya Foods after CEO Robert Unanue praised President Trump.
Is Lin-Manuel Miranda, who supported the boycott, willing to use his “Hamilton” profits to feed Goya workers who could be unemployed because of his knee-jerk cancel culture? J. King

Since when in America does a government official — a member of Congress, no less — call for a boycott of a private business because she doesn’t like the owner’s political views?
Those who are elected to represent us swear an oath to uphold the Constitution — and not just when they’re on the floor of the House but at all times and in all places.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s allegiance is not to the Constitution but to the mob, and she should be censured by her colleagues in the House — if there are any sane ones left.

Ocasio-Cortez pushes tribal and identity politics. She sees millions of Americans of Hispanic descent as nothing more than a monolithic social and political block.
So Ocasio-Cortez’s support of a boycott of Goya Foods is clearly nothing more than raw antiTrump politics. Goya has been around for decades, helping sustain and nourish millions of Hispanic households across the United States and beyond — the same brown and black people who OcasioCortez professes to represent and love.
The young representative owes the Goya Foods corporation an apology, and she should immediately withdraw her support for the boycott.

It’s time for the silent majority to stand up for America. Goya is a great American company. We should all buy Goya.
To all the Democrats who love this country: You must see that your party has gone so far to the left. It’s no longer a liberal party. It’s a Marxist party.
If you love this country more than you hate Trump, you will vote for Trump to save it.

The Goya Foods CEO visited Trump at the White House last week, and now a band of celebrities, including OcasioCortez and Chrissy Teigen, is petitioning for a ban on Goya products.
Not that an explanation should be expected, but Unanue said that when President Barack Obama asked him to visit, he proudly came.
Liberals in this country are out of line and should be embarrassed. How much damage will the liberals cause Goya Foods before this behavior ends? Who’s next? No one is safe.
