Taking Aim at the NRA: Tish’s Corruption Suit
National Rifle Association CEO Wayne LaPierre and three other executives are accused of raiding the powerful gun organization’s coffers of many millions of dollars for private flights to the Bahamas, trips on huge yachts and big-game hunting in African countries (“Gunning for the big shots,” Aug. 7).
The NRA “piggy bank” went from a $28 million surplus in 2015 to a $36 million deficit in 2018.
LaPierre called New York Attorney General Letitia James’ suit “an affront to democracy and freedom.” Yet it is LaPierre who is an affront to human decency and civilized society. It is past time the NRA be disbanded. Give them muskets as a parting goodbye.

If AG James applied the same standards she’s applying to the NRA to Congress, there wouldn’t be too many folks left in politics. The hypocrisy rages on.

So the attorney general of New York is suing the NRA for corruption.

And how about your fellow Democrat, Gov. Cuomo, disbanding the Moreland Commission after a few short months and his nursing-home fiasco that killed thousands of seniors?

These ideologues in New York cannot respect or tolerate any difference of opinion.
Suing the NRA and trying to break up the organization is just another ploy to destroy dissenting opinions and views.
As a taxpayer, I don’t want my tax dollars going to such a questionable lawsuit when we have bigger issues to deal with.
It is astounding how many pet projects our state government rallies around. James should be looking to take down gangs and get illegal guns off the streets and clean up the communities held hostage by criminals.
