Not even a visitor’s pass! Medical staff members at a hospital in the Philippine­s found themselves dealing with an unauthoriz­ed visitor: a large lizard.

Staff and a security guard armed with a broom steered the slithery character out of the hospital on Cebu Island. The Philippine­s is home to several varieties of monitor lizards.

He filled his tire — and his bank account.

A Michigan motorist stopped at a gas station to inflate a low tire, but ended up also buying a sandwich and a scratch-off lottery ticket.

The good news is he scratched the ticket in his car and won a $1 million jackpot. The bad news is he was so excited he forgot to eat the sandwich.
