Superstar DJ in rape bust

-

INTERNATIONAL DJ Erick Morillo has been arrested in the sexual battery of a woman in Miami Beach, with a rape kit testing positive for his DNA, police say.

According to the arrest report from the Miami Beach Police Department, the accuser went to Morillo’s home with another woman after a party in December.

The woman told detectives that New Yorkborn Morillo “made several advances towards her, some sexual in nature,” while they were in the pool, “but she refused all of his attempts.” He “ultimately apologized” for his behavior and so she stayed at his residence.

According to the report, the accuser, who says she had alcoholic beverages with Morillo, went to sleep in a bedroom and reported “waking up nude on the bed, with Mr. Morillo standing on the side of the bed, also nude.”

The woman claims she has “flashes” of Morillo then performing a sex act on her, and she felt “post-sex pain.” The woman also alleged she recalled him “penetrating” her.

According to the report, the woman called 911 after leaving his house. Police came, searched the residence and took samples of Morillo’s DNA to compare to any found in the rape kit.

That has since come back, allegedly with a match for Morillo’s DNA. The DJ — famed for his work in dance music, the international club circuit and the hit “I Like To Move It” — strongly denies the allegations of rape and sexual battery. He turned himself in to police.

A lawyer for Morillo tells us, “Mr. Morillo has fully cooperated with the police. It is important the public understands that the police report contains mere allegations, and Mr. Morillo is presumed innocent.”

The lawyer added, “There is more to the story than what is in the initial police report, and I look forward to sharing this evidence as I defend Mr. Morillo in court. I am confident when all of the evidence is presented in this case, justice will be served, and Mr. Morillo will be vindicated.”
