The Flaws in Joe’s VP Pick: Kamala’s Pivot on Biden
Joe Biden selected as his running mate a person who accused him of being a racist during the Democratic primary debates (“Kamrades,” Aug. 12).
Furthermore, Sen. Kamala Harris said she believed a woman who accused Biden of sexual molestation years ago and that all women should be believed.
I hate to crash this party, but if you call me a racist and an assaulter, I’m not breaking bread with you any time in the next century.
I don’t believe Biden has a chance in hell to win the presidency, but if he somehow does, the voters who supported him deserve everything that comes to them.

Harris was soundly defeated in the primary and dropped out, thus making it perfectly clear that the voters in her own party wanted nothing to do with her.
If something were to happen to Biden, we would have President Kamala Harris, a person no one wanted.
How anyone could now vote for the Biden ticket and put this person one step away from the presidency is a mystery. I hope every voter from either party is very aware of this when they go to vote in November. William Dancosse

Well, now we know Biden is not in control of his presidential campaign. Even though Joe wanted Susan Rice, and Harris stood on a national stage and accused Biden of being a racist, his handlers were going to select Kamala even if hell froze over.
While the media are celebrating the pick, there are many suburban white women who feel Hillary Clinton should have been the first female president, and Biden’s campaign just gave them the middle finger.
And no matter how the media try to spin it, Harris is a far-left progressive who does not represent middle America.
So here is the question; “If Biden can’t even make his own campaign decisions, how in God’s name can he run our country?” James Nobles

Congrats to Harris for becoming the first black woman to be picked as a VP candidate.
Way to go, Joe! Historic choice. It takes a real man to pick a woman as his running mate. Susan Davinero Lindenhurst
For now, Harris is willing to let bygones be bygones. Never mind that just a few months ago, Harris believed the women who accused Biden of sexual assault. And never mind that she called Biden a racist.
Even though her own presidential campaign failed, Harris was chosen for the coveted spot of VP. And if Biden is
elected, but for any reason cannot serve his term, Harris gets her dream and becomes president. That’s as good as it gets! JoAnn Frank

While the liberal media is agog over this “historic choice,” Kamala Harris will not “play in Peoria.”
Harris is very Californian and will only appeal to the coastal cities. The cities are doing badly, and people are moving out for greener pastures.
The polls saying what a good choice this was are fake like the Hillary polls in 2016 because they over-sample liberals. Andrew Delaney Jamaica Estates
So it’s a Biden-Harris ticket for the Democrats. All I can say is: Joe and Kamala, go get ’em. Herb Stark Mooresville, NC
The choice of a vicepresidential candidate, although usually of little concern, may be significant this year.
While the choice may mean little in determining the result of the presidential election, it may have far-reaching consequences if the president dies or is removed from office.
Notable examples consist of President Harry Truman, who was VP for President Franklin Roosevelt and later decided to drop a nuclear bomb.
For too long, the selection of a vice-presidential candidate has been considered to be of little importance. History indicates otherwise.
