Chiefs extend TE Kelce

The Chiefs and star tight end Travis Kelce have agreed to a four-year, $57.25 million contract extension that will keep him with the Super Bowl champions through 2025.

Big deal for 49ers, Kittle

All-Pro tight end George Kittle agreed to a five-year, $75 million extension with the 49ers that is the richest contract ever at the position. NFL Network first reported the terms and says the deal includes an $18 million signing bonus.

Grizzlies get to play-in

Jonas Valanciuna­s and Ja Morant had triple-doubles and the Grizzlies beat the Bucks 119-106 in Orlando to wrap up a spot in the play-in tournament that will determine the eighth and final seed in the Western Conference playoffs. The Grizzlies will face the Trail Blazers, whose win over the Nets on Thursday ended the season for the Suns — who had gone 8-0 in the NBA restart.

Liberty fall to Fever

Tiffany Mitchell scored 19 points and the Indiana Fever beat the Liberty 86-79 in Bradenton, Fla. Kia Nurse scored 21 points for the Liberty (1-8).

Hurricanes tie series
