Hawks’ Dorsett to IR

The Seahawks put wide receiver Phillip Dorsett on injured reserve Tuesday, giving their free-agent pickup more time to heal an ailing foot.

Dorsett has yet to play for the Seahawks after signing a one-year contract with the team in March. Coach Pete

Carroll had already said the 27-year-old would not play this week against the Cowboys. The earliest Dorsett could return would be Week 7 against the Cardinals. The Seahawks have a bye in Week 6.

Broncos sign Bortles

The Broncos, according to reports, have agreed to a oneyear deal with quarterbac­k

Blake Bortles, who led the Jaguars to the AFC title game in the 2017 season. Denver starting quarterbac­k Drew

Lock is expected to be out three to five weeks with a shoulder injury.

Seumalo, Campbell on IR

The Eagles put starting left guard Isaac Seumalo (knee) on injured reserve after his leg was rolled up on during the second quarter of the Eagles’ 37-19 loss to the Rams on Sunday. Seumalo, 26, will have to miss at least three weeks, making Week 6 against the Ravens the earliest the 6-foot-4 guard can return.

The Colts placed wide receiver Parris Campbell and safety Malik Hooker on injured reserve. Campbell will be out at least until Week 6 with an MCL/PCL injury in his left knee. Hooker is out for the season after suffering a torn Achillies injury last Sunday.

Hudson shut down

The season has come to an end for Cardinals pitcher Dakota Hudson after the team transferre­d him to the 45-day injured list while activating reliever Kodi Whitley and optioning Junior Fernandez to their alternate training site.

Bailey, Gray back from IL

The Twins reinstated righthande­r Homer Bailey from the 45-day injured list on Tuesday so he could start their series opener against the Tigers. Bailey missed 51 games with right biceps tendinitis.

The Reds activated righthande­d pitcher Sonny Gray from the 10-day IL.
