Shelling Out for Dem Votes: Bloomy’s $16M Fla. Blitz

-

Former Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s megalomania is now being inflicted on the people of Florida (“Bloomy boo$ts excons,” Sept. 23).

Having lost his ability to control New Yorkers and having been embarrassingly rejected by Democratic voters, he now is out to buy power in a Biden/Harris administration.

To facilitate the votes of thousands of felons because they will vote for a Democrat is a cynical statement that his money entitles him to do anything he wants.

The citizens of Florida will not ignore or forget this ham-fisted attempt to buy the state. Bloomberg’s Napoleon complex underlies all of his behavior, and now the entire nation is witness to his arrogance.

Bloomberg’s Florida stunt is an egregious and repellent instance of election-rigging.

The notion of paying felons to vote, presumably for Democrats, perfectly exemplifies the tenor of the party.

Facile, semantic arguments citing Bloomberg’s “egalitarianism” are an insult to the nation’s intelligence. We all know what Bloomberg and his leftist cronies are trying to pull.

Never in the history of the United States has a political party debased itself as the Democrats have. Mark Mamelson

Bloomberg was mayor of this city for 12 years, and during those years crime was down, murders were remarkably low for a city of this size and the quality of life was admirable.

Now, Bloomberg is having a major hissy fit against the president, willing to spend $100 million of his own money to defeat a man that improved the economy, got unemployment to record lows and renegotiated trade agreements to our advantage.

Bloomberg is even willing to spend $16 million to buy the votes of former Florida felons in this coming election.

You’d think Bloomberg would be doing all he could to prevent the destruction of New York City by Mayor de Blasio. But for reasons known only to him, he prefers to attack Trump relentlessly. For a very smart man, he looks rather childish. Joseph Paino

Instead of Bloomberg contributing $100 million in Florida to prop up the left’s puppet candidate — Biden — his money would be better spent bailing out New York City’s small-business owners, whose lives and livelihoods were upended by the unending lockdowns.

Even the $16 million he wants to spend to buy exfelons’ votes in Florida would also be beneficial to the city’s ailing businesses.

Between Bloomberg and Mayor Do-Nothing de Blasio, New Yorkers have been crushed in all realms of their lives — economic, physical, educational and spiritual.

I will be voting in-person for Trump on Nov. 3, at 7 a.m., no matter how many unsolicited ballots I receive in the mail.

Why hit the polls so early? I believe that will afford me a cushion of several hours before Harris/Biden supporters, radicals, socialists and paid agitators try to intimidate voters and/or disrupt voting at myriad polling sites.

Bloomberg will spend $16 million to help felon thugs pay their fines so they can vote in the presidential election.

Why doesn’t he donate his money to people in need or to mental-health issues or education or other issues that could change people’s lives?

This is a one-time deal to get former felons to vote, the least important thing in the world. He’s just another phony elitist. I’m sad I ever supported him.
