Premature illuminati­on! Dim bulbs in Bridgewate­r, England, became the butt of countless barbs following the town’s socially distanced Christmas-lights “switch-on.”

Video shared on Twitter by BBC Radio Somerset showed the lights brighten before local dignitarie­s had finished pushing the huge, prop-like plunger that was supposed to turn them on.
