Giuliani in hosp with COVID-19

- By CARL CAMPANILE

President Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani, who has been pressing the case that November’s election was rife with fraud, has COVID-19.

“@RudyGiuliani, by far the greatest mayor in the history of NYC, and who has been working tirelessly exposing the most corrupt election (by far!) in the history of the USA, has tested positive for the China Virus. Get better soon Rudy, we will carry on!!!,” Trump tweeted on Sunday.

The 76-yearold Giuliani was being treated at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, DC, a friend of his told The Post.

“Rudy is doing fine. If it was up to Rudy, he’d leave the hospital right now,” the friend said.

The former mayor tweeted later Sunday that he is “feeling good.”

“Thank you to all my friends and followers for all the prayers and kind wishes,” he tweeted.

Giuliani’s son, Andrew, wrote on Twitter that his father “is resting, getting great care and feeling well.”

Andrew, a special assistant to the president, had revealed his own COVID-19 infection, also via Twitter, on Nov. 20.

Later Sunday night, the two chambers of the Arizona state legislature announced they would suspend all work and meetings this week because Giuliani had spent hours testifying before members less than a week ago in a bid to overturn the state’s election results, The Hill reported.

Giuliani sought medical assistance “because he just felt run down,” said the pal.

Earlier Sunday, Giuliani appeared on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures” where he updated host Maria Bartiromo on the efforts to have state legislatures toss election results and appoint a new set of electors.

Giuliani has traveled to a number of states, including Pennsylvania and Michigan, to lobby Republican lawmakers on Trump’s election case.

A number of Trump advisers have also contracted the virus, including former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski and ex-deputy campaign manager David Bossie.

Both were with Giuliani last month in Pennsylvania.
