Brady in Billionaire Bunker
TOM Brady and Gisele Bündchen will be Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump’s new neighbors on Miami’s Indian Creek island, also known as the Billionaire Bunker, Page Six can exclusively reveal.
The couple, who are currently renting Derek Jeter’s sprawling mansion in Tampa, have bought 26 Indian Creek for more than $17 million. They plan to demolish the current house on the property and build their dream home in the vein of the Architectural Digest-covered mansion in Brentwood, Calif., that they sold to Dr. Dre.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Brady was seen at the property in recent weeks, sailing in on his new 40-foot superyacht.
Their billionaire friend Jeff Soffer already lives on the island and has been helping them with the construction, we’re told.
Other wealthy residents on the exclusive enclave include Julio Iglesias, former Sears CEO Eddie Lampert and billionaire Carl Icahn.
As we revealed, Kushner and Trump just splashed out $31 million on a lot on Indian Creek, which has 13 full-time security officers and multiple marine guards for just 29 residences.
Meanwhile, we’re told Brady and Bündchen are building a green mansion on the island. They’re both avid design fans — even fanatical “about their doorknobs” — with Bündchen particularly keen on ensuring all their properties are environmentally sound.
Nelson Gonzalez, senior vice president of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices EWM Realty, told Page Six that the Miami market has gone “crazy” over the past few months: “Everyone wants to be in Miami — they’re coming from New York and California. The market is crazy right now. There are a lot of hedge fund managers and Silicon Valley buyers who have moved down here.” And it’s getting hotter: Goldman Sachs is reportedly looking to move its asset division HQ to southern Florida.
Reps for Brady and Bündchen declined to comment.
