A Danger to US Interests: The Swalwell ‘Spy’ Affair THE ISSUE:

Reports that Rep. Eric Swalwell was targeted by a suspected Chinese intelligence agent.

-

Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell — a member of the House Intelligence Committee, no less — dallied with a beautiful suspected Chinese spy (“Kiss Kiss, Fang Fang,” Dec. 10).

After four years of empty Democratic potshots at the Trump administration, Swalwell now doesn’t want to live in a country that “weaponizes political information”?

The country I don’t want to live in is one whose leaders think with the wrong part of their anatomy.

What is happening to our country when we have Chinese spies infiltrating our nation’s highest offices and agencies (and stealing our industrial, technological and state secrets) and Joe Biden and his Chinese Communist Party-friendly Democratic supporters are totally OK with it, and instead deflect blame onto President Trump?

Topping it off, our useless law-enforcement agencies, such as the FBI won’t investigate, let alone prosecute, these potential crimes because they are all in on this.

These are terrifying times for our nation. With China’s technological and economic ascendancy as a soon-tobe-superpower, we stand to lose much, including our freedom, as China’s tentacles seek to shackle America. We should all be deeply concerned.

The FBI told Swalwell he had been interacting with a suspected Chinese spy who helped him get elected by bundling contributions from who knows where. Plus she placed a young intern on his staff.

Swalwell cuts off ties with the alleged spy, who leaves the country with no prosecution — end of story. The media does not report it all.

But here’s how investigators treat a GOP president: They tell him nothing about potential Russian spying at meetings, they spy on him and his campaign, they harass him and his staff, they entrap Gen. Michael Flynn, they put others in jail for things not related to spying — and the media are all over it. It turns out to be a three-year hoax, but never mind.

Then the Democrats sing, “Why Don’t We Be Friends?”

Swalwell is just another member of the delusional left. His first comment about his relationship with Christine Fang is to blame Trump.

He went on to say, “If this is a country where people who criticize the president are going to have law-enforcement information weaponized against them, that’s not a country any of us want to live in.”

This is just priceless, I guess he forgot President Barack Obama’s IRS scandal and criticism of the two journalists who had the unmitigated gall to disagree with Obama.

Yet through all this we still haven’t heard Swalwell deny any claims about his relationship with this spy.

If this were a Republican congressman, the Democrats would be up in arms, and we would see endless hours of Rep. Nancy Pelosi and Sen. Chuck Schumer on TV saying the person should resign. The double standards of the left are getting old. When will the people wake up?

This Swalwell character spent most of his presidential-primary run attacking the president for his alleged collusion with the Russians.

Swalwell disgustingly opined without factual underlying proof that Trump was a Russian agent.

Now, we learn Swalwell had some kind of relationship with a Chinese spy before she quietly and mysteriously returned to China. Yet this clown remains on the House Intelligence Committee. But more interesting was Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s Chinese driver of 20 years, who was actually a spy. What else is happening with these California politicians? Earl Beal

At this point in my life, there are few things that shock me. I think the Swalwell honeypot “revelations” are just the tip of the iceberg.

Why aren’t the media sniffing for clues? For some courageous journalist, a Pulitzer Prize is waiting to be had.
