It was a near-wipeout. Firefighters raced to save a “sacred” shipment of toilet paper after a truck carrying it burst into flames Sunday on a highway in Alberta, Canada.

Canmore Fire Chief Walter Gahler and his crew tried to salvage as many rolls as possible given pandemic-induced shortages.

“Every toilet-paper roll is sacred these days,” he said.

Some serious ’roo rage. A kangaroo punched a man who tried to shoo the marsupial off his property in New South Wales, Australia.

The terrifying attack occurred Friday when Mitchell Robinson tried to stop the animal from digging holes outside his home.

The kangaroo hopped over and knocked down Robinson, then sprung away.

It was a cygnet failure. A grieving swan brought trains on a high-speed rail line in Germany to a halt as it sat mourning its dead mate.

The broken-hearted fowl refused to abandon the tracks for 50 minutes after its companion died flying into an overhead electric line.

A British woman swore off a healthy diet after finding a dead mouse in a bag of supermarket lettuce.

Christine Egerton of the Isle of Wright said she was horrified when her son opened the package and a rodent carcass dropped out.

“My goodness, what a horrendous smell it was,” she said, adding that her family became “physically sick” over the wretched odor.

She declared that the family would now stick to eating french fries.

Twelve Canadian siblings were awarded a Guinness World Record for highest combined age, racking up more than 1,042 years.

The D’Cruzes who range from 75 to 97 years old, had a combined age of 1,042 years and 315 days when they broke the record this month.

“I always think of Guinness records as the tallest or shortest person . . . It was a surprise they even count this,” said the youngest, Genia D’Cruz Carter.
