A Florida man set his own truck on fire because he wanted to give cops “something to do,” police said.

Kevin Murphy, 28, admitted to dousing his Chevy in gasoline and lighting it aflame, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff ’s Office.

The firebug allegedly said he “wanted something for the sheriff ’s office to do and he wanted to give himself an early Christmas present, so he set his truck on fire.”

Deputies arrested Murphy on arson and drug charges.

This one’s for those wanting to be put on “house arrest.”

A rogue priest was arrested after taking over a convent in Russia.

Father Sergiy, whose real name is Nikolai Romanov, seized control of the Russian Orthodox convent in Yekaterinb­urg in June and refused to leave, even after being formally cast out of the church.
