Both Alabama and Kentucky are coming off big weekend road victories and will look to keep their upward momentum going on Tuesday when they clash in Lexington.

Kentucky has won three straight games after entering SEC play on a sixgame losing streak ,with freshman Dontaie Allen taking advantage of an increased role. Allen played just 19 total minutes in the team’s first seven games. In this winning steak, Allen is averaging 14.3 points per game while making 11 of his 19 3-point shots.

The Wildcats are shooting as a team 46.8 percent from 3-point range in the past three games after making just 25 percent of their 3s in the first seven games.

Alabama comes into this contest on a five-game winning streak of its own, exceeding 80 points in four of those games. The lone exception came against a Tennessee team that is allowing the third-fewest points per game in the nation.

The Crimson Tide have used second chances to grab this winning streak, ranking 19th in the country in percentage of missed shots that are rebounded, and have hauled in at least 13 offensive rebounds in each of their past five games.

Keion Brooks Jr., the only player who scored a point last season for Kentucky who is on the current team, scored 12 points in his season debut on Saturday in the win at Florida. Combining Kentucky’s offensive revival with Alabama ranking 30th in the country in total possessions, Tuesday’s clash figures to feature an exciting, uptempo pace with no shortage of made baskets.

THE PLAY: Alabama-Kentucky total, Over 146.5.
