Accuser: Gov ‘preoccupied with his hand size’
Gov. Cuomo accuser Charlotte Bennett spoke with investigators for four hours yesterday, her lawyer said, saying that Handsy Andy was obsessed with “what the large size of his hands indicated to Charlotte and other members of his staff.”
ent investigators last week. Liss didn’t say what she told them or if her formal interview had actually taken place.
Liss has accused Cuomo of saying, “Hey, sweetheart,” and kissing her on both cheeks before grabbing her around the waist to pose for a photograph in May 2014.
Liss has also said that before going public, she got a call on her honeymoon in December from Cuomo spokesman and adviser Rich Azzopardi, who asked if another accuser — former Cuomo aide Lindsey Boylan — had “reached out” to her.
Azzopardi has said his call to Liss was part of an effort to give former Cuomo staffers “a heads-up” that they might be contacted by Boylan, her lawyers or “members of the press.”
Boylan, now a Democratic candidate for Manhattan borough president, initially tweeted in December that Cuomo had sexually harassed her without any details.
But she followed up last month with a highly descriptive online essay that opened the floodgates for Cuomo to so far be accused of groping, harassing or otherwise engaging in inappropriate behavior against seven women, including five current and former aides.
Cuomo has denied touching anyone inappropriately or any other intentional wrongdoing and has vowed to cooperate with the state attorney general’s independent investigation.
His office didn’t respond to requests for comment on Monday’s developments.
