Ignoring a Migrant Crisis: Biden’s Border Brushoff
THE ISSUE: Calls for the Biden administration to act amid a record number of migrants in border facilities.
Sheriff J.E. Guerra’s comments in The Post clearly describe the crisis that is overwhelming the Mexican border (“Biden said he’d help,” March 19).
It seems critical that our Congress should move as soon as possible to review the situation and that President Biden should address the issue as well, in front of Congress, answering questions.
Specifically, the president needs to admit it is a crisis, as a first step, and then discuss measures to be taken to resolve the problem. It is time for Biden to be presidential.

There may be a way to help stem the crisis at the border — just continue to build the wall that former President Donald Trump began.
It’s pathetic seeing those children in cages that former President Barack Obama and then Vice President Biden created during their administration.
He was bombastic and ego-driven, but Trump loves his country more than the swamp that has again overtaken the White House.

The Post editorial (“Biden’s Border Bull,” March 19) points out one important fact: The people of this country are not dumb.
We all know that what Biden and the Democrats want is more votes, so they can maintain power over us.
He doesn’t care about the hardships these people face — especially the children — in order to seek asylum in our country.
He doesn’t care about the drug cartels and the coyotes who freely cross our borders with abandon. All he cares about is votes.
The previous administration had good policies in place that curtailed illegal immigration down to a trickle, but Biden, and the masterminds behind him, in their hatred for Trump, overturned all of them.
We “dumb” people have got to put a stop to this by demanding that the Trump policies are reinstated, and by taking the Congress back from the Democrats in 2022.

Biden and his fellow travelers want an open border since it benefits the Democratic Party politically.
Letting in thousands of unvetted people is dumb on the face of it.
This explains Biden’s statements effectively inviting the entire population south of the border to come in.
The border is completely open. We’ll take good care of you and pay for all your needs, just promise to vote for us.
It’s likely that COVID infections will spike, along with crime and the national debt, which is already at historic highs.
The nation’s Democratic leaders are blinded by both ideology and the acquisition of power, and they know that the American people, not them, will pay the price.

The more I read about the Biden-inspired border crisis, the more it makes my blood boil.
How is it possible that after Trump finally secured our southern border, the next president would come in and reverse all the necessary achievements?
The world’s most destitute and penniless, who drain our society of vital resources, along with criminals, terrorists and COVID-infected people, are now running free into our country — while we are still mandated and shamed into wearing masks.
This country is being destroyed at breathtaking pace.

Biden is doing a great job of doing everything the opposite of how Trump did it, but without thinking about the consequences of his actions, which are mostly a disaster.
In addition to the border crossings that allow people that have the virus, criminals and undocumented people to enter our country, he is leading our country toward bankruptcy.
Mr. President: Please stop the illegal immigrants and criminals from entering our country immediately. Run the country or resign.
