Female FBI agent takes H’wood

-

A TOP New York female FBI agent has become the toast of Hollywood after retiring from the bureau and setting up her own production company.

Powerhouse Hollywood agency UTA has signed former Special Agent Anne Beagan — who in 2019 became the youngest female agent ever eligible to retire from the FBI, serving 23 years by age 48.

Beagan moved to Los Angeles that year and started Dark Pictures, named so in a nod to the photo evidence the FBI collects in its investigations.

The company — founded with true crime producer Jennifer Erwin — has 15 projects in development, from breakdowns of FBI cases to action thrillers, plus women- and minorityled stories based on true crimes, Deadline first reported. She’s also founded her own company, Anne Beagan Productions, and is working on a book about her life.

Special Agent Beagan — known as Agent Annie to many of her former colleagues — graduated from the FBI Academy in 1996 and began her career at the New York field office’s Criminal Division. There she investigated white collar crime, crimes against children and violent crime, among others.

Following 9/11, Beagan was named the special events coordinator to the Joint Terrorism Task Force, responsible for organizing FBI logistics and security plans for major NYC sporting, holiday, government and entertainment events.

She later transitioned to the Office of Public Affairs as its entertainment industry liaison. She served as a consultant on Martin Scorsese’s “The Wolf of Wall Street” and “The Irishman,” “The Informer” starring Rosamund Pike, and TV series “FBI: Most Wanted” and “Inside the FBI: New York.”

UTA’s long roster of stars also includes Harrison Ford, Anthony Hopkins, Anthony Mackie, Susan Sarandon, Kevin Hart, TarajiP . Henson, Jason Sudeikis and Issa Rae.
