NBA: Mitchell’s ankle X-Ray negative

Donovan Mitchell scored 22 points before leaving the game with a sprained ankle in the third quarter, and the NBA-leading Jazz beat the Pacers 119-111 on Friday in Salt Lake City. X-rays on Mitchell’s ankle were negative, according to ESPN.

In Philadelph­ia, Joel Embiid had 36 points and 14 rebounds and the 76ers beat the Clippers 106-103, snapping Los Angeles’ seven-game winning streak.

In San Antonio, CJ McCollum scored 29 points and the Trail Blazers, playing without Damian Lillard, escaped with a 107-106 victory over the Spurs.

In Houston, Nikola Jokic scored 29 points and the Nuggets cruised to a 128-99 victory over the Rockets.

MLB: Scherzer passes Cy Young
