A wayward mattress caused a five-car pileup in New Zealand.

Motorists on the Northweste­rn Motorway in Auckland were backed up for hours after the mattress flew off a car, leading to one injury and possible criminal charges.

“Last night’s crash could have been avoided,” police said in a statement.

Moo-ve it along! A Michigan sheriff’s deputy was forced to escort eight cows three miles home to their farm after they escaped in search of greener pastures.

Because the Ingham County Sheriff’s “country unit” was busy, the single deputy was left to wrangle the heifers that were blocking a road.
