Joe on Cuo: ‘He’s done a hell of a job’

- By STEVEN NELSON

President Biden on Tuesday gave a stunning appraisal of Gov. Cuomo’s performance, saying Cuomo did “a hell of a job,” immediately following the governor’s res- ignation for allegedly sexually harassing subordinates.

Biden lauded Cuomo despite the governor being under investigation by five New York county district attorneys for alleged sexual misconduct, as well as by the feds for a coverup of COVID-19 death data at New York nursing homes.

“Well, he’s done a hell of a job. He’s done a hell of a job. And I mean, both on — everything from access to voting to infrastructure to a whole range of things. That’s why it’s so sad,” Biden said.

The president did not express sympathy for Cuomo’s victims, but said, “I respect the decision he made” to resign.

In a tense exchange with CNN reporter Kaitlan Collins about how the president could praise Cuomo’s job performance when Cuomo’s “accused of sexually harassing,” Biden said he was referring to Cuomo’s work as governor “outside of his personal behavior.”

Biden last week called on Cuomo to resign following the release of a devastating report commissioned by state AG Letitia James that found Cuomo harassed 11 women.

Biden himself has faced allegations of making women feel uncomfortable with unwanted touching. Biden as veep also allegedly skinny-dipped in front of Secret Service agents, and a former Biden Senate aide, Tara Reade, alleges he sexually assaulted her in 1993.
