Antifa-flag-flying HS teach urges kids to protest

A California public high-school teacher proudly hangs an Antifa flag on his classroom wall and encourages his students to attend far-left protests for extra credit in an effort to “turn them into revolutionaries,” according to a report.

Gabriel Gipe, who teaches advanced-placement government at Inderkum HS in Sacramento, admitted to pushing his political ideologies on students in video captured by the conservative activist group Project Veritas.

“I have an Antifa flag on my [classroom] wall and a student complained about that — he said it made him feel uncomfortable. Well, this [Antifa flag] is meant to make fascists feel uncomfortable, so if you feel uncomfortable, I don’t really know what to tell you. Maybe you shouldn’t be aligning with the values that this [Antifa flag] is antithetical to,” Gipe tells an interviewer from the group in hidden-camera footage.

“I have 180 days to turn [students] into revolutionaries,” he says — adding that the way to combat teenage apathy is to “Scare the f–k out of them.”

For one extra-credit assignment, he urged students to show up at protests including right-wing rallies to create an opposition, he said.

“I post a calendar every week . . . I’ve had students show up for protests, community events, tabling, food distribution, all sorts of things.

“When they go, they take pictures, write up a reflection — that’s their extra credit,” said Gipe, adding he and his wife are left-wing political organizers.

Each year, he asks his students about their political ideologies — and said teenagers’ beliefs are moving more and more to the left.

“So, they take an ideology quiz and I put [the results] on the [classroom] wall. Every year, they get further and further left … I’m like, ‘These ideologies are considered extreme, right? Extreme times breed extreme ideologies.’ Right? There is a reason why Generation Z, these kids, are becoming further and further left,” said Gipe.

Gipe also has a poster of the Chinese Communist leader Mao Zedong in his classroom, and teaches about China’s Communist “Cultural Revolution” of the 1960s, noting that it “ultimately failed.”

Mao’s “Great Leap Forward” left some 55 million dead and created the largest famine in human history.

Project Veritas also quotes Gipe during a conversation about “taking up arms” — although it’s unclear whether he’s speaking about historical political movements in general or present-day Antifa.

“Like, why aren’t people just taking up arms? Like why can’t we, you know — take up arms against the state? We have historical examples of that happening, and them getting crushed and being martyrs for a cause and it’s like — OK, well, it’s slow going because it takes a massive amount of organization,” he said.

Gipe and the school didn’t return phone calls from The Post.
