The Georgia man fatally shot in Queens by a gunman dressed in Hasidic-style clothes had recently been incarcerated on drug charges — and had $10,000 in cash in his pocket when he was slain, law enforcement sources told The Post Friday.

Jermaine Dixon, 46, was entering his car on South Conduit Avenue near 132nd Street in South Ozone Park at about 8 a.m. Monday when the suspect, dressed in apparent religious garb, ran up and shot him at point-blank range in the head, according to video, police and sources.

Dixon had the wad of cash in his pocket and the gunman tried to take it — but ran off before he could, the sources said.

A second person had also been keeping watch and the pair waited several hours for Dixon to arrive, the sources added.

Shocking surveillance video obtained by The Post had shown the shooter pumping a bullet into Dixon.

Moments leading up to the murder were also captured on video, offering clues into the suspect, who appeared to be feigning car trouble as a way to maintain cover.

The suspect had parked a white Nissan sedan across from Dixon’s vehicle and at one point the car’s hood, trunk and driver’s door were all ajar, the video shows.

As Dixon came into view, the suspect momentarily ducked under the hood before launching the attack (above) when the victim turned to open his car door, according to the footage.

It was not immediately clear what was behind the shooting and police said no arrests had been made.

Cops were investigating whether the suspect was impersonating a Hasidic man.

When reached by phone, Dixon’s sister, Nadia Powell, said the family didn’t want to comment. “I’m not going to lie to you, this is a rough time for us. Give us some time,” Powell said.
