A curious moose is no longer on the loose upstate. The 500-pound female was spotted weeks ago in Palatine Bridge, where she got stuck in a horse paddock. The wayward beast then followed the Mohawk River east until reaching Schenectad­y on Friday.

State officials later corralled the moose in a backyard and released her into the southern Adirondack­s.
